Position Overview
The Person al Support Worker (PSW) is responsible for providing care to residents according to their care plans and assisting in identifying resident needs. The PSW helps maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

- Assist in monitoring care given to residents, ensuring it aligns with the established plan of care by observing residents and reporting findings to the immediate supervisor.
- Assist in documenting information related to residents’ care as directed.
- Attend in‑service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
- Assist in onboarding new staff as directed.
- Follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
- Graduate of a Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.
- Understanding of basic sanitation and cleaning techniques, and awareness of the needs of geriatric residents.

Salary: $27.50 per hour (placement based on qualifications and experience).
