Director of Health and Wellness at RRDC

Lead health initiatives with the Ross River Dena Council as the Director of Health and Wellness, based in Ross River. Oversee operations, community programs, and strategic health leadership.

RRDC seeks a skilled Director of Health and Wellness to bridge executive leadership, healthcare staff, and community families. This full-time role requires strategic vision and operational oversight of health services, particularly at the Margaret Thomson Centre. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culturally safe environment, while ensuring fiscal accountability and effective health programs that honor Kaska traditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate community health priorities into operational plans

• Oversee daily administration of health programs

• Manage departmental budgets with fiscal accountability

• Provide mentorship to healthcare staff and contractors

• Liaise between community and external health authorities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or related field

• Minimum 7+ years in health or social services

• 5 years in leadership or management roles

• Knowledge of Kaska culture and health needs

• Valid Yukon Driver’s License
