As a Physiotherapist under the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio, you will work within a vibrant clinical team. Your responsibilities include assessing patients, providing treatment for pain and functional limitations, and educating families and caregivers. Strong collaboration with health disciplines is key, as is the mentorship of students and junior staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and diagnose patient conditions in a tertiary care setting
• Collaborate with healthcare colleagues to achieve team goals
• Educate patients about physiotherapy treatment and health promotion
• Supervise physiotherapy assistants and students effectively
• Continuously evaluate and develop programs and care strategies
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
• Eligibility for registration with Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Regulator
• Annual Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
• Experience in motivational interviewing is an asset
• Strong client relationship-building skills
