Extendicare is seeking a part time Personal Support Worker to offer comprehensive care in long-term and community home settings. You will fulfill patients' physical and emotional needs while ensuring adherence to care routines and documentation standards. This role values experience with dementia and palliative care, fostering a compassionate and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct personal support including ambulation and grooming
• Assist with feeding and bathing residents daily
• Implement care plans and maintain documentation accuracy
• Communicate positively with patients and families
• Work independently within community home care environments
Requirements:
• Completed PSW or HCA/CCA certification
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Knowledge of care planning and documentation
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently in home care
