Assistant Director of Care

Position: Assistant Director of Care at Extendicare
Lead compassionate care for residents as the Assistant Director at Tendercare Living Centre in Scarborough. This full-time position emphasizes leadership, quality improvement, and compliance.

As Assistant Director of Care, you will support the Director in managing clinical areas at Tendercare Living Centre.

Your role is crucial for ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulations and standards. You will directly engage with residents, families, and staff to enhance satisfaction and care processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage clinical program areas as per Extendicare’s standards

• Identify and escalate risk while managing mitigation strategies

• Ensure timely compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care

• Lead quality improvement initiatives for successful outcomes

Requirements:

• Minimum three years as a Registered Nurse in long-term care

• At least one year in a managerial role

• Current RN registration with provincial body

• Proficiency in EHR systems, specifically Point Click Care

• Strong leadership and communication skills
