As a member of the Health Equity, Safety, and Wellness Portfolio, you will provide guidance to develop health services tailored to Mi'kmaw needs. You'll work closely with community organizations and health practitioners to promote health equity and reconciliation. Your contributions will enhance workplace culture through diversity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide culturally safe healthcare practices and policies
• Collaborate with Mi'kmaw health leaders on initiatives
• Advise on health equity strategies for Indigenous communities
• Engage in community partnerships to improve health outcomes
• Foster an inclusive workplace environment for all employees
Requirements:
• Degree in Allied Health or relevant fields
• Minimum five years of related experience
• Expertise in Nova Scotia Indigenous health
• Proven community engagement and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking abilities
