Personal Support Worker

Position: Personal Support Worker at Extendicare

Extendicare is seeking dedicated Personal Support Workers to provide personalized care to seniors in their long-term care homes. The position requires the ability to perform personal care duties, assist with daily living activities, and uphold the highest standards in resident care. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills while advocating for residents' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the plan of care set by supervisors

• Assist residents with personal care and hygiene

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals for clients

• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions

• Facilitate safe transfers and mobilization of residents

Requirements:

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker program

• Minimum 600 hours of relevant practicum experience

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

• Ability to perform necessary tasks, including lifting
