The Addiction Counsellor II will operate within the Community Treatment Team at the Scarborough location. You'll engage in initial screenings, treatment matching, and case management while collaborating closely with social workers, nurses, and physicians. This role is vital to integrating necessary services and developing treatment plans to support individuals navigating their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial screenings and assessments for clients
• Match clients with appropriate treatment options
• Provide individual and group-based substance use counseling
• Collaborate with community partners for service integration
• Advocate for client needs within the network
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences
• Experience with substance use populations
• Knowledge of opioid issues and prevention
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and transportation
