This full-time, permanent position places you at the forefront of cancer data analysis and classification. You will gather and interpret a variety of health data, ensuring accuracy for effective cancer treatment planning and research. You will work extensively within the Cancer Registry Information System, contributing to provincial health services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and analyze cancer data from various sources
• Classify tumors accurately according to established coding
• Update and maintain patient health records consistently
• Support quality assurance in cancer treatment data
• Engage in research and publication of cancer statistics
Requirements:
• Certification in Health Information Management required
• At least two years’ experience in a cancer care setting
• Understanding of health information practices and regulations
• Knowledge of ICD-10 CA/CCI and ICD-O-3
• Experience with Microsoft software suite
