Aldaview Overnight Direct Support Worker

Become a key player at Aldaview Services in New Hamburg, ON, as an Overnight Direct Support Worker. Focus on enhancing the independence of adults with intellectual disabilities.

As part of Aldaview Services, you will provide support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on their personalized needs. This position involves working overnight shifts, fostering a strong community connection for clients, and reporting directly to the Program Manager. Engage in activities that promote social well-being and emotional resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support clients in daily activities and routines

• Facilitate independent living skills for individuals

• Report on client progress and needs to management

• Provide a safe and positive environment for development

• Encourage client participation in community activities

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in social services is preferred

• Current certification in CPR and Emergency First Aid

• Must possess a valid G driver's license

• Experience with dual diagnosis supportive roles is a plus

• Excellent communication and advocacy skills
