Join Mackenzie Health as a Pharmacy Technician focusing on Chronic Kidney Disease management.
Your role will prioritize patient medication history and distribution within clinical settings.
As a registered Pharmacy Technician, you will conduct Best Possible Medication History (BPMH) with CKD patients and assist with medication distribution in the CKD program. You will also collaborate with Clinical Pharmacists and manage medication inventory, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete medication distribution using pharmacy automation
• Facilitate Best Possible Medication History for patients
• Manage patient and staff inquiries effectively
• Oversee issuance of narcotics and controlled medications
• Maintain detailed medication inventory control records
Requirements:
• Current registration with Ontario College of Pharmacists
• Accredited Pharmacy Technician diploma or equivalent
• Solid attendance record and commitment to safety
• Effective communication with empathy in clinical settings
• Relevant experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous
