Join Dalhousie University as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Support dental health care through meticulous medical device decontamination and sterilization processes.
In this 6-month temporary role, you will be responsible for the complete sterilization process in the dental clinic, handling everything from supply assembly to packaging and testing sterilization equipment. You will ensure operational efficiency for approximately 400 daily appointments while managing inventory requirements and supply monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all phases of dental clinic sterilization processes
• Effectively prioritize workloads for clinical needs
• Conduct inspections of tray setups and consume debris removal
• Ensure proper packaging, assembly, and sorting methods
• Perform testing on sterilization equipment for safety
Requirements:
• Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician needed
• 1-3 years’ experience in healthcare environments
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Team-oriented with independent work capability
• Proof of immunization status is mandatory
