Citadel Physiotherapy Ltd. is an integrated health care clinic offering evidence-based physiotherapy, chiropractic, and massage therapy services to clients across the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). The clinic focuses on collaborative, client-centered care, bringing together multiple disciplines to support recovery and long-term wellness. Citadel Physiotherapy operates three locations:
Parklane Mall in Downtown Halifax, Solutions Drive in Clayton Park West, and Baker Drive in Dartmouth. Team members work within a supportive environment that values professional development and high-quality, ethical care.
The Physiotherapist role is a contract, on-site position based primarily in Halifax, NS, with potential work across other HRM locations as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing clients’ physical function, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based physiotherapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and education. The Physiotherapist will document assessments and progress notes accurately, collaborate with chiropractors, massage therapists, and other health professionals, and contribute to a safe, respectful clinical environment.
The role also involves communicating clearly with clients about goals, treatment options, and home exercise programs, while maintaining regulatory and clinic standards.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills in musculoskeletal and orthopedic physiotherapy.
- Competence in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise prescription, and patient education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and coordinate client care effectively.
- Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills in a fast-paced clinic setting.
- Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution and eligibility for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
- Professional liability insurance and commitment to evidence-based practice and continuing education.
- Experience in private practice or outpatient clinic settings is an asset.
- Comfort working with diverse client populations and maintaining a respectful, inclusive environment.
