In this full-time position, you will support the Health Equity, Safety, and Wellness department by providing essential cultural context and resources for staff and patients. You’ll work on community collaborations, program evaluations, and identifying barriers to access, thereby enhancing health outcomes for immigrant populations. Your contributions directly influence IWK Health's commitment to anti-racism and cultural safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver cultural advice to improve care delivery
• Foster relationships with immigrant and cultural communities
• Examine inequities in access to health resources
• Collaborate on health initiatives focused on cultural responsiveness
• Document and assess program performance indicators
Requirements:
• 2-3 year diploma in a relevant field required
• Two years of direct relevant experience needed
• Fluent in both Arabic and English for effective communication
• Ability to analyze complex cultural access barriers
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and collaboration
