This permanent position requires recent graduates from accredited paramedic programs eligible for registration with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia. As a part of a renowned team, you will participate in vital emergency medical services, managing over 165,000 calls annually. Your skills will contribute to both urban and rural health care programs focused on patient safety and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to emergency medical calls in Nova Scotia
• Participate in various community-based paramedic programs
• Engage in collaborative emergency centres and special operations
• Maintain registration with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia
• Support driving safety and complete physical abilities testing
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited paramedic program
• Valid NS Class 4 Driver's License mandatory
• Criminal background check and vulnerable sector search
• Completion of online driving safety course CEVO III or IV
• Successful physical testing (PC-PAT/OPPAT) documentation
