Mental Health Outreach Social Worker

Nova Scotia Health seeks a Community Outreach Worker for Mental Health and Addictions. Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will provide services in clinic and community settings. The work includes screening, assessment, brief intervention, case management, navigation, advocacy, and treatment.

• Provide clinical services to adults and families
• Conduct screening, assessment, and brief intervention
• Coordinate case management, navigation, and community resources
• Deliver individual and group treatment
• Build organizational and agency community linkages

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
• Registration with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
• One year post BSW community outreach experience
• Knowledge of harm reduction and psychosocial rehabilitation principles
• Required crisis, first aid, CPR, and safety training
