About the Team & Business Line
Research & Development (R&D) is a multidisciplinary team that focuses on conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs), thorough market analysis, and in‑depth research to identify and develop cutting‑edge solutions that meet evolving client and business needs. The team works with various stakeholders to promote innovation, enabling the organization to remain competitive, drive efficiency, and build new products and services.
Qualifications
About You
10+ years of experience in technology, transformation, R&D, or innovation‑led roles, with significant exposure to enterprise‑scale programs
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Proven experience leading large, cross‑functional teams and complex initiatives
Possess strategic mindset and find motivation in creatively solving problems
Background in agile delivery, program management, and stakeholder communication at senior levels
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and translate into solutions with measurable outcomes
Assets:
Experience with AI and Automation Solutions
Exposure to Cloud Platforms
Exposure to data platforms, analytics, and intelligent automation at enterprise scale.
Experience operating within financial services or regulated environments

Responsibilities
Your Role
The Senior Vice President (SVP), Research & Development serves as a pivotal leader, responsible for defining the strategic vision, ensuring operational excellence, and overseeing value realization within Citco’s R&D function. The SVP is accountable for the R&D program roadmap and collaborates closely with Business leadership, Technology teams, Process Owners, and Transformation Office (TO) stakeholders to establish priorities, oversee delivery, and secure measurable outcomes.
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Define and own the R&D strategy aligned to enterprise priorities
Champion emerging technologies with strong focus on AI, automation, data, and cloud
Establish KPIs and value realization frameworks to measure impact, ROI, and scalability
Program Management
Own the end‑to‑end R&D program, from ideation and PoCs through pilot and production rollout where required
Partner with Business, IT, Process Owners, and other stakeholders to define, prioritize, and manage backlog
Drive consistent delivery standards and execution discipline across all initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement
Provide regular updates to senior leaders, clearly communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
Lead discussions to assess feasibility, prioritize initiatives, and drive adoption
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, outcome‑focused executive messaging
Technology & Innovation Enablement
Oversee research, market scanning, and vendor evaluation to identify best‑in‑class platforms
Ensure PoCs are designed for scalability, security, compliance, and enterprise architecture standards
Drive transition from experimentation to enterprise‑scale, production‑ready solutions where required
People Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and develop a high‑performing R&D team
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Ensure agile ways of working with appropriate rigor in controls and documentation
Operational Excellence & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with Citco’s quality, risk, and governance standards
Proactively identify and mitigate risks and control gaps
Manage program reporting, and communications on R&D initiatives across the organization
