Quality Assurance & Testing Lead -Power Utilities

The Quality Assurance & Integrated Testing Lead shall establish and govern the quality assurance, testing governance, and operational readiness framework for the program. The role is responsible for ensuring that all solutions, integrations, operational processes, and transition activities meet defined quality standards and are validated through structured testing and readiness processes prior to go‑live.

The role shall coordinate testing and quality activities across all work streams, vendors, operational stakeholders, and System Integrator teams to support a controlled and reliable operational transition.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and govern the program‑wide Quality Assurance and Integrated Testing framework

Define testing standards, methodologies, quality gates, and approval processes

Coordinate testing activities across all phases, including:

System Integration Testing (SIT)

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

End‑to‑End (E2E) testing

Operational readiness testing

Parallel operations

Develop and maintain integrated testing plans, schedules, and defect management processes

Coordinate testing dependencies across business, operational, IT, OT, cybersecurity, and vendor teams

Establish readiness criteria and support go/no-go decision‑making processes

Govern defect tracking, prioritization, escalation, and resolution activities

Ensure traceability between requirements, design, testing, and operational readiness activities

Support operational cutover, stabilization, and hypercare activities

Provide consolidated testing and quality reporting to program leadership and governance bodies

Required Skills & Experience

Extensive experience leading quality assurance and integrated testing activities for large‑scale transformation or system integration programs

Strong experience coordinating testing across multiple vendors, platforms, and operational domains

Experience defining enterprise testing strategies, quality frameworks, and governance processes

Strong understanding of:

SIT, UAT, E2E, and operational readiness testing

Defect lifecycle management

Release and environment coordination

Readiness assessments and cutover governance

Experience working within highly integrated IT and OT environments

Strong analytical, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities

Experience managing testing within mission‑critical or operational environments

Strong communication, facilitation, and issue‑management skills

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting utility, energy, ISO/RTO, or operational technology transformation programs

Familiarity with EMS/SCADA, operational technology integrations, or control centre environments

Experience supporting operational cutover, command centre, and hypercare activities

Familiarity with NERC CIP, operational reliability requirements, or regulated operational environments

Experience supporting operational readiness assessments and certification activities
