Tier 3 Engineer
At IMP Solutions, we provide IT products and IT and business consulting services to our clients across Canada. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tier 3 Engineer to join our Service and Support team in Halifax, NS. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing internal systems, customer‑facing hosted and cloud environments, and providing technical assistance to team members on system and network‑related requests.
WhatYou Will Do
- Design and implement network and infrastructure solutions (WAN/LAN, routers, firewalls, servers, virtualization, Azure).
- Architect and support hosted and cloud environments tailored to client needs.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and network documentation.
- Provide IT support for internal systems and Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, O365).
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft) and remote access (VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix).
- Maintain remote monitoring tools (e.g., Connect Wise) and project documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and mentor junior technicians.
- Escalate unresolved issues and manage project tickets through Connect Wise.
- Align IT solutions with customer business goals.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Education:
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (MS preferred but not required). - Minimum 5 years in IT.
- Certifications:
Preferred certifications include Microsoft MCP/MCSA/MCSE, Citrix CCEA/CCIA, Sonic Wall CSSA, Connect Wise CCPA, Lab Tech LTCP, Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP. - Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
