Overview

Brandt is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist for our Atlantic region reporting to our Halifax Construction & Forestry location.

This position is responsible for product support, training, product development, and testing. Additionally, the Technical Support Specialist will assist in developing innovative strategies and applications to assist our sales team and clients realize the full potential of our positioning systems.

The Technical Support Specialist will work hands-on with some of the most innovative positioning technology available including machine automation, 3D scanning, mobile mapping, GNSS and robotic instrument solutions along with powerful cloud based software solutions.

What We Look For

  • Must be familiar with the following:
    • Machine automation
    • GNSS
    • Robotic and conventional positioning systems
  • Must have an understanding of survey field and office software
  • An aptitude for related technology is required
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills are required
  • 3+ years of directly related experience preferred in construction, land surveying and/or engineering
  • Knowledge of Brandt product lines and heavy equipment considered an asset
  • Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Geomatics/Civil Engineering diploma or Electronical Engineering diploma
  • Extensive travel is required to various locations; a recent driver’s abstract is required
