Equinox Gold is seeking a GIS and Database Analyst to enhance exploration, mine planning, and environmental management across its Canadian operations. Reporting to the Geospatial Data Manager, you will maintain GIS databases and ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and decision-making support. The position involves working with geospatial data, SQL databases, and assisting field teams with GIS applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain enterprise GIS and drill hole databases
• Prepare maps and spatial visualizations for decision-making
• Perform spatial analysis for resource modeling and ESG initiatives
• Assist in GPS/GNSS integration with field teams
• Support data governance and QA/QC processes
Requirements:
• 3+ years in GIS roles, preferably in mining
• Proficient with GIS platforms like ArcGIS
• Experience with SQL Server and database management
• Knowledge of remote sensing and drone data
• Strong understanding of geospatial data standards
