• Experience analyzing call center, Collections, contact strategy, workforce management, or customer operations data is considered an asset.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced SQL skills with demonstrated experience developing reporting and analytical solutions from large and complex datasets.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Power Query, data modelling, pivot tables, and automation techniques.
• Experience building dashboards, reports, and visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Understand the business case of business questions and the estimated value being delivered.
• Design dashboards and analyses, selecting appropriate visualization and analytics tools.
• Identify trends and patterns to address business questions and provide insights via reporting and data visualization techniques.
• Work with other data and analytics professionals to optimize, refine, automate and scale repeatable analytics solutions and decision‑support tools.
• Build reporting dashboards using appropriate data extraction, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
• Provide value through insights, reporting, and visualization techniques.
• Select, configure and implement analytics solutions for consistency and repeatability.
• Research and apply continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns that transform raw data into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with teams, management and stakeholders to enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of analytics solutions.
• Translate business needs to technical specifications and evaluate existing visualization systems for improvement.
• Develop large‑scale data visualizations that facilitate intuitive presentation to decision makers.
• Document data flow, systems and processes to improve design, implementation and management of business/group processes.
• Develop tools and deliver training programs for reporting tools and self‑serve analytics for non‑analytical end users; may include delivery of training to audiences.
• Focus primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise‑wide focus.
• Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Work independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
