Job Description & How to Apply Below

Carte Nav Solutions
, a PAL company, is an international leader in situational awareness solutions for the maritime, land, and air environments. We deliver leading-edge software solutions that support mission-critical operations for government and defense customers. We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our growing team—someone who can move fluently between the discipline of formal program management and the rhythm of agile software delivery.

As a Technical Project Manager, you'll be the bridge between our software engineering teams and our customers, translating technical progress into business confidence and business requirements into technical plans. You’ll own the planning, coordination, and execution of complex software delivery projects. You'll also influence delivery best practices and help shape the future of how we scale and operate.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex, technical projects from kickoff through deployment and acceptance
  • Develop project plans, risks, budgets, and deliverables, while managing the formal schedules, budgets, and reporting requirements
  • Translate customer and contractual requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable plans that engineering teams can execute against
  • Ensure deliverables meet contractual, security, and compliance requirements, including export control, documentation, and acceptance testing obligations
  • Represent the project delivery function in leadership planning and customer engagements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact as a trusted advisor to customers and senior stakeholders
  • Coordinate efforts across engineering, QA, product, and support teams to keep priorities aligned and dependencies visible
  • Drive continuous improvement of delivery practices, tooling, and templates across the project management function
  • Support proposal development and project estimation for new opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with meaningful time spent managing software delivery
  • Experience managing projects for government, defense, or other highly regulated customers
  • Technical fluency — comfortable in conversations about architecture, integrations, and the software development lifecycle, even without a hands-on engineering background
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale software initiatives, within a multi-stakeholder technical environment
  • Proficiency with project management delivery tools like Jira, Microsoft Planner, Azure Dev Ops, or similar
  • Clear, precise written and verbal communication, including formal status reporting and documentation
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, or ability to meet applicable export control and citizenship requirements
  • PMP, Agile, or similar certifications are preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience with defense, aerospace, or public sector procurement processes
  • Familiarity with regulatory or safety-critical software standards
  • Experience mentoring or leading other project managers

Why Join Us?

  • Work on software that supports real, high-stakes missions for government and defense customers
  • Sit at the intersection of technical delivery and customer strategy, with real influence over how projects get built
  • Join a global team that values clarity, ownership, and getting the details right
  • Advance your career in a forward-thinking environment

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating great software, cares about client engagements, and takes pride in successful project delivery. If you're an experienced project leader ready to help deliver mission-critical software and shape how we work—let’s talk.

What We Offer:

  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Pension Plan with employer matching
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Tuition Assistance Program
  • Personal travel privileges with PAL and interline agreements with multiple airlines
  • Employee and Family Assistance Program
  • Industry discounts (hotels, rental cars, etc.)

PAL Aerospace is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that celebrates and encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion whereby individuals are recognized, supported, and respected. Candidates of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. Thank you.
