As an Application Database Administrator at CAE, you will support commercial and custom applications across enterprise environments. Your work includes installation, patching, backup and recovery, migrations, monitoring, and performance tuning. You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, testing, operations, vendors, and technical support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
Investigate abnormal health, capacity, availability, and performance conditions
Execute patching, upgrades, migrations, and technical refreshes
Validate backup, restore, recovery, and environment refresh activities
Document diagnostics, decisions, procedures, and technical configurations
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or related field
Enterprise relational database administration experience
Strong Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server experience
SQL skills and database issue troubleshooting experience
Eligibility to work in Canada and obtain required clearances
Support CAE applications in Halifax through database administration, SQL diagnosis, performance tuning, and dependable operational documentation.
