The Senior Underwriter for Commercial Property plays a crucial role in managing a diverse portfolio of mid to large-size risks. You'll leverage your advanced analytical skills and industry knowledge to evaluate risks, set pricing, and ensure compliance with Canadian regulations. Your impactful decisions directly contribute to the portfolio's profitable growth while strengthening relationships with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Underwrite new and renewal commercial property business
• Develop strong relationships with brokers and clients
• Perform risk assessments and pricing analysis
• Present and negotiate underwriting quotations
• Conduct site visits to assess physical risks
Requirements:
• University degree in business, insurance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial property underwriting
• Completion of CIP designation required
• Advanced knowledge of Canadian P&C insurance standards
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
