Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) seeks a La Langues des signes Quebecoise (LSQ) Interpreter. The interpreter will provide confidential interpreting services between LSQ and French clients in-person and/or via video in a variety of settings, including community, medical, mental health, and emergency events.
Responsibilities• Provide both receptive and expressive LSQ to French interpreting services for individuals and groups.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to best practices and protocols.
• Adapt to a range of settings, from community outreach to medical and mental‑health appointments, and emergency events.
Full-time permanent position, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications• 3–4 year post‑secondary diploma/degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of interpreting experience.
• Excellent LSQ to French language skills, both receptive and expressive.
• Legally eligible for employment in Canada.
