This permanent position operates from the Central Zone and requires a Bachelor of Law along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Expertise in drafting complex agreements, particularly in intellectual property and data use, is essential. You will play a critical role in navigating multidimensional legal challenges while collaborating with Research Contracts teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice to senior leadership and research teams
• Draft and review agreements for IP and commercialization
• Analyze complex legal issues independently and collaboratively
• Support research contract negotiations and compliance
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant legal practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Law (LLB/JD) and Nova Scotia Barristers' Society membership
• Minimum of 8 years' relevant legal experience
• Expertise in commercial agreements and IP law
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency and ability to manage workload
