Project Specialist Regional Municipality

$65,000 - $70,000 + bonus opportunities

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Project Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will build solid client relationships, manage logistics operations, and ensure a high standard of service delivery across project accounts.

• Act as the first point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries promptly via phone and email
• Coordinate shipments across air, ocean, rail, and ground transportation
• Manage freight requests, quotes, customs coordination, and documentation
• Select and communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
• Track shipments, resolve issues, and proactively prevent service failures
• Handle billing processes, including invoice accuracy, cost tracking, and discrepancy resolution
• Monitor reports, identify exceptions, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records in the freight management system
• Support SOP development and implementation for new and existing accounts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency

• 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding or project logistics
• Robust knowledge of transportation modes (air, ocean, ground, rail)
• Understanding of Canadian customs processes and Incoterms
• Experience with Cargo Wise (preferred)
• IATA, IMO, or TDG certifications considered an asset
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
