This permanent role at the Department of Public Works is crucial for supporting fleet inventory management. You will coordinate stock procurement, verify inventory levels, and build vendor relationships to secure optimal pricing. Strong communication skills and logistical awareness will enable you to keep our roads and bridges safe.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate procurement of stock for fleet inventory
• Maintain optimal inventory quantities and reorder points
• Communicate with vendors for pricing and supply issues
• Prepare surveys for winter materials requirements
• Assist fleet personnel with specifications for stock parts
Requirements:
• High School completion with four years of related experience
• Knowledge of inventory control and procurement processes
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with SAP Materials Management preferred
• Safety training certifications considered an asset
