Tactical Buyer Position

Join Thales in Halifax as a Tactical Buyer, specializing in the procurement process amidst dynamic market conditions. This hybrid role encompasses supplier management and order execution to meet organizational needs.

In this role, you will drive the transactional procurement process, managing purchase requisitions and orders effectively. Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders, you will enhance supplier performance while ensuring compliance with purchasing policies. A strong foundation in procurement and supply chain concepts is crucial for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage negotiations and analyze supplier quotations

• Convert purchase requisitions into error-free purchase orders

• Address procurement issues and liaise with management

• Collaborate with internal teams for seamless operations

• Optimize purchasing processes through improved SAP functionalities

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain environment

• Understanding of contract terms and sourcing strategies

• Proficiency in using SAP or similar ERP systems

• Advanced skills in MS Office Suite

• Knowledge of Canadian export regulations is a plus
