Field Service Employee - Imaging Systems
Location:
Halifax, NS (travel required across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, and occasional overnight stays, air or train).
Responsible for customer relationship management, technical installation, troubleshooting, service, and maintenance of imaging equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service, adhere to customer entitlements, set clear expectations, and meet commitments and arrival times.
- Understand customer business and competitive environment; generate service revenue.
- Participate as a member of the regional work team, improve processes, identify training gaps, and seek opportunities to increase capability and capacity.
- Perform all administrative duties within established regulatory requirements and time frames, including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders, preventative maintenance, installation documents, and related paperwork.
- Utilize tools, support, resources, and escalation processes within required time frames to resolve customer and system problems timely and effectively.
- Complete PMs, FCOs, installation and related tasks (diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems).
- Work approximately 70% travel across specified geography; average driving time 1‑4 hours daily; occasional overnight stays and travel by air or train may be required.
- 2+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging service environment or 4+ years in electromechanical industries; multimodality position (general x‑ray, Image Guided Therapy, MRI, CT, ultrasound).
- Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment; knowledge and use of necessary tools and test equipment.
- College diploma in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Biomedical Engineering Technology diploma highly preferred. - Physically, cognitively, and environmentally able to perform tasks required of a Field Service position; accommodations may be available.
- Capability to work in office/home office, remote, and hospital/healthcare environments, with flexible hours (incl. overtime, weekends, on‑call rotations).
- Safe handling of radiation sources and/or radioactive materials, wearing required personal protective equipment.
Annual pay range $72,000 to $88,000, plus overtime eligibility, on‑call pay, field service and lead generation incentive bonus plans, company fleet/car, training, and advancement opportunities.
