Take on the Housekeeper role at Northwood in Halifax, dedicating yourself to cleanliness while ensuring a safe environment for residents. This position involves lifting and detailed cleaning on a daily basis.
Reporting to the Manager of Environmental Services, you will handle diverse cleaning responsibilities, including laundry and equipment operation. Your prior experience in housekeeping, especially in Long Term Care, will help maintain our rigorous standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role requires you to work well both independently and with your team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct cleaning tasks in assigned areas
• Manage waste and recycling transportation
• Carry out periodic floor and carpet maintenance
• Operate laundry equipment as per instructions
• Assist with all laundry-related duties like folding
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of housekeeping experience
• Must lift at least 50lbs regularly
• Strong ability to read and follow instructions
• Committed to good personal hygiene and attendance
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and procedures
Contribute to the cleanliness and safety at Northwood as a valued Housekeeper.
