Compensation: Per-Unit / Project-Based | Bi-Weekly Payments
We are seeking experienced Painting & Plaster Contractors to support a steady pipeline of apartment turnover projects in Halifax. This role involves completing high-quality surface preparation, drywall repair, plastering, and interior painting to prepare units for incoming tenants within tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities- Interior painting of residential apartment units (walls, ceilings, trim)
- Drywall repair, patching, taping, mudding, and sanding
- Plastering and surface finishing to a paint-ready standard
- Surface preparation including priming, caulking, and minor repairs
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Complete work within defined turnover schedules
- Proven experience in residential painting and drywall/plaster finishing
- Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality finishes
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Own tools, equipment, and reliable transportation
- Valid business registration
- Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000 coverage
- Active registration and good standing with the Nova Scotia Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB)
- Compliance with Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations
- WHMIS certification (preferred)
- Consistent volume of apartment turnover work
