YMCA Maintenance Lead Position

Join the YMCA as a Maintenance Lead at the John W. Lindsay YMCA, focusing on safe facility operations. Collaborate on maintenance tasks while ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

This full-time maintenance role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is critical in providing a comfortable environment for YMCA members. Your responsibilities include managing pool and sauna operations as well as overseeing cleaning and maintenance schedules. Supporting the Facility Services team, you will help create positive experiences within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective facility maintenance and safety standards

• Manage operations of pools and related equipment

• Handle logistics of cleaning and maintenance supplies

• Monitor HVAC control systems as needed

• Implement cleaning tasks and prepare recreational equipment

Requirements:

• 1-3 years’ experience in building maintenance

• Relevant certification in Pool Operation or HVAC preferred

• WHMIS certification and strong safety focus

• Flexibility to work outside normal hours

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
