Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Position: Housekeeper Needed at Northwood
Join Northwood's Halifax team as a Housekeeper and make a difference! This role focuses on cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment.

Northwood is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper with at least two years of experience in Long Term Care or Acute Care. The position requires excellent instruction comprehension, reliable attendance, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. Ideal candidates will also have substantial laundry skills and prioritize personal hygiene while working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness in assigned work areas

• Manage collection and transport of waste and recycling

• Perform routine floor and carpet maintenance

• Operate washing machines and dryers correctly

• Assist with various laundry tasks and linen management

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade X education or equivalent

• At least two years of relevant housekeeping experience

• Proficiency in floor care and chemical safety

• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs

• Strong attendance record and commitment to hygiene
