Housekeeper at Northwood

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our Halifax team, reporting to the Manager of Environmental Services. Ideal candidates will possess at least two years of housekeeping experience in either Long Term or Acute Care settings. You will perform essential cleaning duties, operate laundry equipment, and maintain the cleanliness of shared spaces and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular cleaning duties in assigned areas

• Collect and transport garbage and recycling

• Conduct floor and carpet maintenance regularly

• Operate washers and dryers following instructions

• Assist with laundry tasks like folding and distribution

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade X or equivalent education

• Two years of housekeeping experience in relevant environments

• Must lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs)

• Good hygiene practices are essential

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
