Support the Halifax Regional Centre for Education as a Janitorial Custodian. This crucial role ensures that school buildings remain clean and welcoming for students and staff alike.
In this role under the Operations Services Department, you will help maintain the attractive appearance of educational facilities. The position involves cleaning and maintenance tasks that follow safety guidelines and departmental policies. Candidates are encouraged to apply, especially those with prior janitorial experience, to strengthen our community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive cleaning of school buildings
• Adhere to safety practices and departmental protocols
• Assist in maintaining a sanitary learning environment
• Follow directions from the Caretaker and supervisors
• Work various shifts, including evening and night hours
Requirements:
• Possession of a High School Diploma or GED
• Capability to lift 50lbs for cleaning duties
• Proficient with basic computer functions
• Availability for flexible shift patterns
• Previous janitorial experience is advantageous
