. We are increasing food safety and product quality, enhancing sustainability and boosting operational efficiency. We provide cleaning and sanitation solutions to food, beverage, and dairy manufacturing environments through a dual focus on sales and technical service/consultation to new and existing customers. As strong business partners, Ecolab works with customers to develop sanitation plans and programs, evaluate processes and procedures, troubleshoot technical issues and identify and implement operational efficiencies.

Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, plant operations, customer business objectives, and applicable government regulationsPrepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab's innovative products, equipment and servicesProvide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations; including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and employee trainingDevelop strategic work plans for completing sales and service/consultation calls with new and existing customersCommunicate effectively with all levels of plant staff; build strong business relationships and networksManage Ecolab products and equipment; participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place ordersPosition Details
Position will be based in Halifax, NS area with travel in the surrounding areas including Halifax, Bedford, Annapolis. Some travel to New Brunswick and PEI will be required based on business need3 - 4 nights per month of overnight travel will be requiredMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Post-Secondary Diploma2 years of experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing environment OR 2 years of selling into manufacturing environments in technical salesValid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle recordWillingness and ability to work varying hours (average: 1-3 overnights per week)Willingness and ability to travel throughout a geographic territoryAble to travel to the US for training/meetings and to provide monthly customer supportNo Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunityPreferred Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry, biology or related fieldGeneral mechanical abilityExceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsDesire to succeed in a competitive environmentAbility to take initiative and work independentlyStrong follow-through and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projects and to adapt to changing prioritiesAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range
This position has base salary and is eligible for incentive compensation based on performance, per plan terms. Total expected compensation is in the range of $81,.
Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
