Description Key Responsibilities

  • This job will most likely fall under NOC Code: 14400 – Shippers and receivers
  • Load, unload, sort, and move shipments manually or using material‑handling equipment
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
  • Prepare shipping documents including Bills of Lading, packing slips, and manifests
  • Inspect incoming materials for quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Pack, seal, label, and stage outgoing shipments
  • Record and maintain accurate shipping and receiving data
  • Communicate shipping/receiving information with logistics, purchasing, and accounting
  • Deliver materials to production and assist other departments as needed
  • Coordinate with Supervisor and Supply Chain/Logistics Manager to resolve issues
  • Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping in shipping and receiving areas
  • Participate in continuous improvement, safety initiatives, and training
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of shipping and receiving experience
  • Minimum 2 years of counterbalance forklift operation experience
  • Ability to read drawings and measure accurately
  • Strong attention to detail with safe work habits
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Cross‑training in door fabrication considered an asset
Safety & Compliance
  • Adhere to OH&S regulations and company safety policies
  • Use required PPE at all times
  • Participate in safety training and incident reporting
  • Report hazards and unsafe conditions immediately
