Shipbuilding Production Engineering Technologist

Become a key player in ship construction at J.D. Irving, Limited as a Production Engineering Technologist. Focus on developing temporary service solutions that enhance production efficiency.

In this role, you will work closely within the Production Engineering Shipyard team to design and implement temporary service plans, ensuring a seamless integration into operational schedules. Collaboration with Production, Planning, Safety, and Procurement is critical to achieving optimal production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create temporary service plans for scaffolding and access

• Update and maintain technical layouts and drawings

• Monitor production for continuous improvement

• Coordinate with teams on schedules and material readiness

• Ensure adherence to safety and project guidelines

Requirements:

• Engineering degree or Engineering Technologist diploma

• 2-5 years in ship design or manufacturing

• Knowledge of production planning and resources

• Ability to draw sketches and perform calculations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
