The Health & Safety Specialist plays a vital role in supporting production activities by maintaining compliance with the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act. You will serve as the gas free certification expert, ensuring that all ISI Production and Facilities/Maintenance operations follow rigorous safety standards. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough risk assessments and communicating hazard controls before any work begins.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Act as the gas free certification expert for operations
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments for work activities
• Communicate hazards on gas free certificates effectively
• Support safe production activities across designated areas
Requirements:
• Knowledge of the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Expertise in confined space and hot work safety procedures
• Familiarity with ISI policies and industry best practices
• Strong communication skills in hazard management
• Experience in production or maintenance safety roles
