At John Ross & Sons Ltd., a leading scrap metal recycler in Atlantic Canada, we’re seeking a General Laborer. This position involves consistent heavy lifting and the ability to work effectively with machinery and other team members. Your main duties will include moving materials, sorting scraps, and maintaining a tidy work area while adhering to safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load and unload materials with efficiency
• Prepare products for storage and shipment
• Assist production staff and machine operators
• Label products accurately for processing
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards throughout work areas
Requirements:
• Background in heavy lifting is beneficial
• Ability to lift 50lbs routinely is required
• Must wear full PPE at all times
• Strong communication skills are a must
• Adaptable to varying weather conditions
