MAKING AN IMPACT
The Senior Specialist, Donor Communications will support the delivery of a nationwide stewardship program for mass audiences through the strategic development of stewardship and cultivation communications across a variety of channels, tactics, and products.
You’re a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of the donor lifecycle and how donor-centric stewardship communications can improve the donor experience, increase retention and enhance lifetime value. As an experienced digital storyteller with a passion for delivering impact, you know how to take facts and information and transform them into engaging and inspiring content to steward and cultivate donors. Your content is impeccable – flawlessly edited for style, grammar and brand alignment – but you never stop analyzing and optimizing to ensure objectives are met.
You are organized, process-oriented, excel at time management and can juggle competing priorities. A team player, you’re a relationship-builder who thrives on working with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Collaborate in & manage the content development, execution, optimization and expansion of the national Mass Marketing stewardship program across the donor lifecycle to improve retention and support a best-in-class donor experienceCreate engaging and effective content to support stewardship, cultivation, and fundraising tactics across products, segments, and channels, with a focus on digitalSupport the audience stewardship strategy by customizing content for a segment-first approach, and proactively identify in gaudience-specific opportunities or gapsManage production and fulfillment of print communications, including monitoring inventory levels, coordinating reprints, and working closely with the fulfillment house throughout the print production process (troubleshooting and transferring data, reviewing print proofs and lives, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of print communications to donorsManage and coordinate internal content development processes including translation, as well as providing support for the build, testing and deployment of stewardship tactics with cross-functional implementation and execution teamsMonitor stewardship communication performance analytics and contribute to the recommendation of strategies to improve engagementAct as a team subject-matter expert on the stewardship experience, with a keen awareness and understanding of the donor lifecycle, including maintenance of internal lifecycle and communications resourcesSupport the strategic development and/or adaptation ofdonorcommunications for specific segments and products, with consideration for the overall donor lifecycle and experienceSupport the development and implementation of new strategies to improve retention, including strategic content development and ongoing performance monitoring of new initiatives/communicationsProvide creative input, review, and editing throughout the content development process across stewardship channels and programs, including direct mail, digital, and video tacticsDemonstrate project management excellence and identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline resources, and improve operational effectivenessBuild key internal relationships across CCS to support the streamlined…
