Volunteer Community Outreach Coordinator

Make an impact as a Volunteer Community Outreach Coordinator for the Canadian Cancer Society's CIBC Run for the Cure. Engage your community while organizing fundraising events for breast cancer awareness.

This volunteer role involves leading community outreach initiatives engaging groups, businesses, and individuals. You'll create and execute strategies to recruit teams for the breast cancer fundraiser and represent the Canadian Cancer Society at local events. Your efforts will contribute to the CIBC Run for the Cure, the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create outreach strategies for community and corporate engagement

• Connect with local businesses and community members

• Identify local events to promote the CIBC Run for the Cure

• Secure food and beverage sponsor ships for event needs

• Solicit local sponsor ships, both cash and in-kind

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older

• Passion for breast cancer cause and event planning

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Positive attitude and self-motivated approach

• Available for a 6-month commitment focusing on event details
