YMCA Youth Program Coordinator

Join YMCA Immigrant Services as a Youth Program Coordinator in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to support newcomer youth through advocacy and mentorship. This full-time role champions youth empowerment and cultural integration.

As the Youth Intervention Program Staff, you will lead initiatives that foster a sense of belonging among newcomers. Working closely with families and community partners, your mission will be to cultivate nurturing environments where youth can thrive. This role entails addressing complex challenges facing at-risk youth through targeted support and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective support for youth and their families

• Lead workshops and community-engagement activities

• Monitor participant progress and program success

• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance services

• Maintain accurate program documentation and reports

Requirements:

• Background in social services, youth care, or community outreach

• Experience with diverse youth populations

• Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work flexible hours as required
