The Salvation Army is seeking a Part Time Community Services Worker for its Halifax Centre of Hope. In this role, you will ensure program delivery aligns with the organization’s mission, develop client-centered services, and manage food bank operations. You will also maintain records, engage clients effectively, and support volunteer recruitment, all while helping those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver quality programs in alignment with HCOH's vision
• Maintain confidentiality and compile daily statistics
• Assist in sorting and organizing food bank donations
• Host clients through our innovative food bank model
• Participate in community events and outreach initiatives
Requirements:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in social services and community support
• Ability to work respectfully with diverse individuals
• Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry clearance
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
