Support Christmas toy and food donations onsite in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, using organized sorting, documentation, and community service skills.
The Salvation Army seeks a temporary Christmas Support Worker for Community and Family Services. You will process donations, prepare distributions, collect community contributions, and record statistical data. The position supports seasonal operations and may include Kettle campaign assistance.
Key Responsibilities:- Process, unload, document, and sort toy and food donations
- Prepare donated items for Christmas program distribution
- Pick up community food and toy donations
- Set up and take down distribution centres
- Record statistical data clearly and accurately
- Completed high school or equivalent education
- Minimum one year of community-based program experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office, email, and internet program skills
- Valid Ontario Class G licence, vehicle, insurance, and driver abstract
- Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds safely
