Licensed Practical Nurse - Travel

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, you will provide care according to Nova Scotia College of Nursing, the Standards of Practice of Carecor, and the healthcare facility where assigned – helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well‑being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12 hour shift.

This is a casual to a full‑time position with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license that is current, active, and in good standing with your provincial College.

Transfer of an active practicing license with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.

Proof of current immunization (MMRV, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis

B).

Proof of negative TB skin test within the past year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years.

Current BCLS-HCP (Health Care Provider).

Current N95 mask fit test certificate.

Willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

Flexibility to work occasional urgent/last‑minute/early‑morning shifts.

Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.

Please note this role is for non-residents of Nova Scotia.
