Position: Registered Nurse (Casual, Temporary, Permanent, Full Time)
Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team under the direct supervision of a Unit Manager or Director of Care to meet residents’ care needs.

Education Required:

Standard First Aid or Basic Life Support- CPR/Choking Adult

Recognized Pharmacology Course and experience in the administration of medications

Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia

Alzheimer’s Disease Course preferred

RNs will work within the CRNNS Scope of Practice

Ability to work 8-hr and/or 12-hr shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays included)

Effective communication both written and verbal in English with residents, families and co-workers

Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of the organization

Possesses exemplary Customer Service skills

Reliable with good attendance and cheerful disposition

Must take initiative and able to work with minimum supervision

Respectful and hardworking team player

Demonstrate the use of proper body mechanics

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment

Experience in a long-term care or similar environment is considered an asset

Criminal Record Check including the Vulnerable Sector Screening in the last 3 months is required

Salary Range:
In accordance with the Collective Agreement with Dykeland Lodge
