At IWK Health, the Lactation Consultant Nurse advocates for breastfeeding while delivering assessments and evaluations. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care and develop breastfeeding guidelines.
Your role is essential in providing consultations on infant feeding practices and supporting families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for breastfeeding support among families
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of nursing care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in patient care
• Develop guidelines for breastfeeding practices
• Provide consultations on infant feeding to providers
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Current IBCLC certification mandatory
• Recent experience in Family Newborn care
• Completion of Basic Life Support certification
• Strong communication and leadership skills
